The NSSC Constitution

The Club shall be named the Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club.

The object of the Club is to raise funds in order to provide assistance to speedway riders to help them to meet the cost  of machinery, tuning, methanol, oil, tyres, tools and the services of a mechanic.

Membership of the Club shall be open to persons interested in speedway at the discretion of the Management Committee.

The Club shall be managed by a Management Committee appointed at the AGM.

All members of the Management Committee must be fully paid up members of the Club.

6       The AGM. of the Club shall be held during the month of November each year.
 

The Management Committee shall consist of the following:-

Hon President

Club Chairman

Hon. Secretary

Hon. Treasurer

Guest Co-ordinator

Fundraising Co-ordinator

Youth Co-ordinator

Press & PR Officer

Up to a maximum of 2 fully paid up Club members not holding any office.

Quorum shall consist of four members.

The Management Committee shall have power to co-opt additional members as in their opinion are able to offer assistance or other services deemed to be required.

The duties of the Management Committee shall be to safeguard the interests of the Club members by organising the provision of premises for all meetings, arranging of Club meetings and guests, and to look after and control the day to day running and general affairs of the Club. Recommending to the AGM. the annual membership fee and the regular meeting subscription fee.

9       The AGM. date will be announced 14 days prior to that date.

Only fully paid up Club members shall be allowed to vote at the AGM.

Minutes of the AGM. shall be taken and kept by the Hon. Secretary and shall be available at each AGM. and at any Extra-ordinary General Meeting.

An extra-ordinary general meeting of Club members may be called by the Management Committee if deemed necessary, or at the signed request of one third of paid up Club members.  14 days notice to be given of an EGM.

The Club’s constitution shall only be altered by resolution passed by a two third majority of the members present at the AGM.  Notice of proposed amendments to the constitution must be in writing to the Hon. Secretary not less than 28 days before the AGM.

14       All Club finances shall be deemed to be under the guardianship of the Hon. Treasurer.

The Club’s financial accounts to be kept up to date and available at each AGM.

The Club’s finances shall be deposited into relevant bank accounts and petty cash held by the Hon. Treasurer.

Withdrawals of the Club finances from deposits will only be authorised by the Treasurers signature and also that of either the Hon. Secretary, Club Chairman or the 4th authorised signatory.

There shall be no spending or commitment of Club funds without the prior agreement of the Management Committee.

In the event of the Club being dissolved, all funds and assets will be disposed of at the discretion of fully paid up members at the time of dissolution.
